Oscar Francis Mower was born 24 December 1878, died 3 January 1888 and buried 4 January 1888. His parents are Oscar Middleton and Elizabeth Beardall Mower.
His funeral services were held at the Mower house. Benjamin Blanchard spoke on the good qualities of the boy who was 9 years old and a very obedient son and very promising to become wise and great and useful. John N. Clements and James Whitehead spoke. Benediction by John Boyer.
James Loynd was born 15 May 1805, died 12 January 1888 and buried 13 January 1888. He was 82 years old.
Mr. Thurman was buried 14 January 1888. He died of pneumonia. His wife and family were living at the home of Stephen Johnson. He had been to visit his family on Christmas and went back to Tintic then caught cold. He was a man of good reputation and has a very respectable family of children.
His funeral services were held at the house. Mr. Smith and Mr. Lee, Presbyterian ministers were the speakers.
William Wordsworth was born 5 March 1810, died 18 January 1888 and buried 19 January 1888. He died at 7:00 a.m.
His services were held in the meeting house at noon. Brother Lewis Kendall who was a pioneer of 1847, who was one of the 143 of the saints who came into the Salt Lake Valley with Brother Wordsworth spoke. Thomas Child, James Whitehead and Bishop N. Packard also spoke.
Henry Barlow was born 26 November 1828, died 25 January 1888 and buried 26 January 1888.
A large mixed assembly gathered to the ceremonies. John Boyer dedicated the remains.
Ernest W. Packard was born 29 August 1880, died 27 January 1888. He died at the breakfast table.
His funeral services were held at the house. Brother Horne opened with prayer. Brothers B. Blanchard and Crandall Lucius spoke. He was buried at 4:00 p.m.
Hannah Augusta Palfreyman was born 2 June 1887, died 7 February 1888 and buried 9 February 1888. She died at 1:00 p.m. Her parents are Robert and Nancy Dahlstrom Palfreyman.
Hilda Sumsion was born 14 February 1886, died 13 February 1888 and buried 14 February 1888. Her parents are George and Ann Bird Sumsion.
John Maycock was born 7 February 1831, died 14 February 1888 and buried 16 February 1888. He is the husband of Helen Leslie Maycock.
His funeral services were held at the meeting house at 10:00 a.m. A large assemblage attended. He was a man who was much respected by all who knew him. James E. Hall took charge and dedicated the remains.
Mary J. Ostler died 5 March 1888.
Samuel Carter was born 22 June 1815 and died 6 March 1888. He was 72 years old.
Flora E. Whiting was born 7 January 1888, died 6 March 1888. Her parents are Lorenzo and Flora Waterman Whiting. She was 2 months old.
Mark P. Tuckett was born 17 April 1887, died 7 March 1888. His parents were Phillip and Lucy Packard Tuckett. He was 11 months old.
Ella M. Richmond was born 8 June 1887, died 11 March 1888 and buried 15 March 1888. She was brought to Springville from Provo. Her parents are Benjamin and Martha James Richmond.
Mozena Buckley was born 28 May 1887, died 21 March 1888 and buried 22 March 1888. His father is Samuel and Louisa Giles Bulkley.
Edward Reynolds Brown was born 8 January 1843, died 18 March 1888 and buried 19 March 1888. His wife is Mary Ann Taylor Brown.
His services were held at the meeting house. Jame E. Hall, John Boyer, F. C. Boyer, B. Blanchard, James Whitehead and N. Packard spoke. All spoke of his very excellent character with regard to the faithfulness for the past 14 years of his life and labors in the Church and for the last 7 years as assistant superintendent of Sabbath School.
Charlotte L. Horton was born 2 January 1888, died 22 March 1888 and buried 24 March 1888. She is the daughter of George and Emma Startin Horton.
Barbara Jane Gammell was born 10 August 1887, died 30 March 1888 and buried 31 March 1888. She is the daughter of Frank and Charlotte Alexander Gammell.
Samuel Eugene Weight was born 26 August 1876, died 1 April 1888 and buried 2 April 1888. Samuel died at 6:00 p.m. He is the son of Fredrick and Elizabeth Bocock Weight.
John Perry was born 10 October 1885 and buried 15 April 1888. He is the son of John Sylvester and Evalyn Matsen Perry.
Christina Alleman Sumsion was born 15 October 1840, died 27 April 1888 and buried 29
April 1888. She died in childbirth. She delivered a stillborn baby and then became sick at 4:00 p.m. She died in the mornng. This was her 12th child--probably to be her last. She was born in Hancoc County, Illinois and came to Utah with her parents in an early day. Her husband is William Sumsion.
Her funeral ceremonies were held at the residence. C.D. Evans, Williams H. Kelsey, L. D. Crandall and Bishop N. Packard spoke. They mentioned she was a good mother and charitable and kindly disposed.
Lydia Mease Houtz was born 25 April 1818, died 16 June 1888 and buried 18 June 1888.
She died of general debility. She is the wife of Jacob Houtz, Sr.
William Whiting was born 18 October 1834 and died 10 September 1888.
